For those who have experienced a trip to Gaspesie before can remember it like it was yesterday. As for others, this mythical destination is probably a trip on your bucket list.

With this in mind, we thought it would be necessary to provide a guide to help you fully explore Gaspésie on your 10-day trip. Here are 7 dazzling destinations with 3 things in common: breathtaking sceneries, outdoors and adventure!

Follow us on a journey to discover the best places to explore and take advantage of the Gaspésie’s hidden beauties. Why 8 activities, 7 pit stops and 10 days? It is better to fully enjoy the present during this unforgettable adventure.

Day 1: Parc national du Bic

We recommend you make a stop at the Parc national du Bic on your first day. This park is full of activities to do. For example it is hard to choose between wildlife viewing, sea kayak or even hiking.

Sea kayak Parc national du Bic

We recommend to begin your adventure with an unusual activity: sea kayaking. Not only will you experience thrills aboard your little kayak, but the marine wildlife will also take your breath away. We could also bet that you will probably come across seals, whales and other winged creatures on your coastal ride. For more information concerning the guided and group excursions, click here

Day 2: Geocaching et Le Gaspésiana

We recommend to stop at the renown Le Gaspésiana on your 2nd day, a hidden gem in the depths of Gaspésie. This hotel is located near the shore, which is also synonymous with stunning views. Multiple geocaching activities can be found near the establishment, perfect for an entertaining break. Once the sun has set it would be the perfect occasion to try food from typical Gaspé menus: a souper at the hotel which guarantees fresh seafood and lobster.

Day 3: Paddle board at the Parc national de la Gaspésie

Your third day will take you on the road for approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes on a coastal road  towards the Parc national de la Gaspésie. Once you have arrived at the foot of Mount Albert we recommend to paddle board on the Cascapedia Lake.

Day 4: Wildlife viewing in the Chic-chocs

On the fourth day of your adventure, we promise a great experience by combining a nature hike and wildlife observations, once again in the depths of the Parc national de la Gaspésie. The mounts Chic-Chocs are ideal locations to observe moose and caribou as well as several types of birds.

Day 5: Rest at the Haldimand beach in Gaspé

After all of these physical activities it would be silly to say no to a relaxing day at the beach. The  Haldimand beach is known for being one of the best beaches in the province of Quebec. The beaches in Gaspé are the only beaches that neighbor on the sea in the province. Is that not itself a decent reason to go and rest? Complete your day with a meal at the Cantina Latinogaspésienne. With the word game in their french slogan ‘’c’taco té de la mer’’ we do not expect anything less than feeling on vacation with great music and a memorable meal… which is exactly what is promised!

Day 6 and 7: Parc National Forillon

Horse riding in nature

Upon your arrival in the Parc National du Canada Forillon we recommend horse riding in nature. Did you know that this national park’s surface is covered by trees on 95% of its surface? The different landscapes will treat you to a pleasant ride on the horse’s back. You will also have another memorable perspective on the picturesque views in this region of Gaspésie.

Seal and whale watching

You can expect your second day at the Parc national du Canada Forillon to be completed different from the first one. This location is known for its view on the maritime wildlife once on board a cruise ship accompanied with a guide that will present up to a total of 7 different whales.

Day 8: Les Fous de Bassan at Bonaventure Island

The trip we planned for you has a fairytale ending. Who has never dream of seeing northern gannets in person? Did you know that colonies of northern gannets go to the Bonaventure island every summer strictly for mating purposes? Observing these creatures is a unique experience. Have you heard of the northern gannet’s routine of returning to their nest year after year? This is an impressive sight to see, rest assured. Savor your last day in Gaspésie by living a truly magnificent moment.

We look forward to crossing you on the roads of Gaspésie! For more information on the establishment named in this article, click here.
